Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Junction Turning (FCA-JT).

The FCA-Junction Turning system is designed to reduce the risk of collision by detecting and monitoring oncoming vehicles. When the driver activates the Santa Fe’s indicators to turn right at a junction, the system recognises any oncoming vehicles ahead using its front view camera and front radar. If there’s a risk of a collision, it produces warning messages or haptic warning alarms accordingly and applies emergency braking if needed.

Safety first and foremost.

At Hyundai, we believe that a high standard of safety should never be an optional extra. That’s why we created Hyundai SmartSense™[P5] – our standard advanced system of interconnected cameras, radars, alerts, alarms and ultrasonic sensors that know what’s behind you, what’s beside you, and can get your Santa Fe to react to what’s in front of you.

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist – Rear (BCA-R)

Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in the driver’s blind spot. When BCA-R detects a vehicle in those blind spots (including when a driver is exiting out of a parallel kerbside space), it provides visual and audible alerts, and if it detects a potential collision, it initiates active avoidance steering manoeuvres to steer the Santa Fe out of harm’s way.

Highlander variant shown.

santa-fe

Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM).

Signalling left or right with the santa-fe’s indicators will activate Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM). This safety system can see cars travelling in rear blind spots and projects real-time video onto the digital supervision cluster, giving you a more complete driving picture to respond to.

Available on the Highlander variant.

santa-fe

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

DAW analyses your driving behaviours over time. If it notices signs of fatigue or recognises you’ve been driving continuously for an extended time, pop-up messages and audible warnings will suggest you take a break.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – City/Urban/Interurban/
Pedestrian/Cyclist (camera & radar).

This system utilises front radar sensors and a windshield-mounted camera to detect cars in front that have become too close for comfort. It can also detect pedestrians and cyclists travelling in front and will automatically apply the Santa Fe’s brakes if there’s the chance of a collision.

santa-fe

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Junction Turning (FCA-JT).

The FCA-Junction Turning system is designed to reduce the risk of collision by detecting and monitoring oncoming vehicles. When the driver activates the Santa Fe’s indicators to turn right at a junction, the system recognises any oncoming vehicles ahead using its front view camera and front radar. If there’s a risk of a collision, it produces warning messages or haptic warning alarms accordingly and applies emergency braking if needed.

Highlander variant shown.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

Switching between high and low beam has never been easier during nighttime or when in low visibility areas. This innovation scans the road ahead looking for headlights of oncoming cars, then automatically adjusts the Santa Fe’s headlamp range, switching between high and low beam.

Animations are for illustrative purposes only.

santa-fe

Lane Following Assist (LFA).

LFA uses the front windshield mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road, and provides steering assistance to ensure the vehicle stays in the centre of the lane.

Lane Keeping Assist – Line/Road-Edge (LKA-L/R).

This steering-assist function detects lane markings to monitor your Santa Fe’s position in the lane. Should you stray from a lane without activating your indicators, an audible and visual warning will be sounded and where required, steering intervention will be provided to keep you in your lane.

Animations are for illustrative purposes only.

santa-fe

Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Rear (PCA-R).

When you’re slowly reversing the Santa Fe, such as in a garage or parking spot and the PCA-R system anticipates a collision with an obstacle, the system warns the driver with visual and audible alarms while engaging the vehicle's emergency brakes to prevent the collision.

Available on the Highlander variant.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA).

This technology makes exiting a parking spot much safer. When the Santa Fe is in reverse, rear sensors monitor vehicles and pedestrians approaching from the sides and rear. If something enters a blind spot, an audible warning will sound and a visual alert will appear in the supervision cluster. Then if necessary to prevent a collision, emergency braking will be activated.

Animations are for illustrative purposes only.

santa-fe

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).

This system monitors the Santa Fe’s rear doors opening and closing so nothing is accidentally left behind inside the Santa Fe. When the driver stops the engine and opens their door to exit, ROA will display a “Check rear seats" warning message in the supervision cluster.

Available on the Santa Fe and Active variants.

santa-fe

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) – Advanced.

This system includes all the elements of standard Rear Occupant Alert (ROA), plus it will sound an audible warning alarm if it detects any movement in the rear seats after the ignition of the Santa Fe has been turned off and locked by the driver.

Available on the Elite and Highlander variants.

santa-fe

Remote Smart Parking Assist System (RSPAS).

Imagine coming back to your car after a long day of shopping and finding two cars parked so close either side of you that you can’t open your doors to get in. With Santa Fe, that’s not a problem. Better still, your Santa Fe can drive straight into tight parking spots exactly the same way.

santa-fe

Safe Exit Assist (SEA).

The Santa Fe’s senses are always looking out for you. Even when it’s parked, if it detects a car approaching from behind, it will prevent the driver from disengaging the electronic child safety lock to allow passengers in the 2nd row seat from exiting the vehicle. And if it detects a vehicle approaching and a road-facing rear passenger opens their door, it will sound a warning chime reminding them to be careful and a warning sign will also pop up in the cluster.

Available on the Active, Elite & Highlander variants

santa-fe

Surround View Monitor (SVM).

This multi-camera system generates a 360 degree bird’s eye view around your Santa Fe, displaying it on your multimedia screen to assist you in successfully manoeuvering tight parking situations.
